Here's the beginning stages of "Bride". Mike first photocopies his sketches to scale. Then he bends aluminum wire to fit the sketches. A thin Sculpey figure is pressed around the wire and that is put in the oven to bake hard. Now everything is rock-hard stiff. The baked surface is then roughed up with a course rasp, and more Super-Sculpey is pressed on. Everything is loose and gestural at this stage.
